A day long workshop on the topic "Role of Geospatial technology in smart city initiatives" was organised by Kalpana Chawla Chair of Geospatial Technology, Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh in a joint collaboration with ESRI, Alterra and Aimil. Various eminent experts in the field of Geoinformatics and Geospatial Sciences were present in this workshop to deliver their ideas and opinions on the city's progress as a being tagged as a smart city, the issues/barriers/Challenges have been discussed during the conference.
