Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Navyug Namdhari Eco Drive Pvt. Ltd. today on 29th May, 2024. This occasion was graced by honourable Director of PEC, Prof. (Dr.) Baldev Setia along with Sh. Harmanjit Singh (Director & Co-founder Navyug Namdhari Eco Drive), Sh. Sanjeev (General Manager Operations, NNE), Sh. Dinesh Sabarwal (Chief Sales Officer, NNE), Prof. Vasundhara Singh (DFA), Dr. D.R. Prajapati (DSA), Prof. Arun Kumar Singh (Head, SRIC) and Prof. JD Sharma (Head, MMED). All the members of the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department were also present at this occasion.
Initially, Prof. JD Sharma shed light on the activities and working of Navyug Namdhari Eco Drive Pvt. Ltd company to the gathering present. Afterwards, he also briefed about the various terms of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to be signed between PEC and NNE. This Industry-Academia association would bring together new opportunities of Placements and Internship for the students, promote research Projects and Technical Activities in the institute, a financial Grant of Rs. 25 Lakh was also being provided to the institute and along with all of this assistance, PEC would also provide latest research and Technical Support to NNE to flourish their activities in this market-driven Industry environment.
Mr. Harmanjit Singh (Director & Co-founder, NNE) expressed his gratitude towards Director of PEC, Prof. Setia and Prof. JD Sharma for this inking of MoU. He felt truly honored and privileged to be here at PEC. He also exhibited his urge to support and promote research and technical activities for both PEC and NNE for the coming years ahead.
Director of PEC, Prof. Baldev Setia, expressed his immense gratitude towards the members of NNE for this association. He shed light on the volume and vast level of sustainable activities of Navyug Namdhari Eco Drive Pvt. Ltd, vigorously working since the 1950s. He also said that, 'today the technology people need the Industry people more than ever'.
