Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh signed an MoU with University of Ladakh (UoL), Leh, Ladakh on 4th May, 2024. This occasion was graced by the presence of Director of PEC, Prof. (Dr.) Baldev Setia along with Prof. Arun Kumar Singh (Head, SRIC), Prof. Vasundhara Singh (Dean Faculty Affairs), Registrar Col. R.M. Joshi and Dr. D.R. Prajapati (Dean Student Affairs), they welcomed and felicitated the esteemed Vice Chancellor of UoL, Prof. S.K. Mehta, Dr. Sonam Joldan (Dean Academic Affairs, UoL) and Ms. Kaneez Fatima (Rector Kargil Campus) with shawls and Chandigarh hand Momento. All the heads of the departments of the institute were present at this auspicious occasion.
Moving forward, Prof. Arun Kumar Singh presented the legacy, glorious history, administrative working, research activities, laboratory facilities and achievements of PEC in research and academics. Vice Chancellor of UoL, Prof. S.K. Mehta, along with Dr. Sonam Joldan (Dean Academic Affairs, UoL) and Ms. Kaneez Fatima (Rector Kargil Campus) also presented the academics and research activities of UoL.
Afterwards, the MoU for joint academic, research and consultancy activities was officially signed between the two Institutions. PEC will also support UoL to start their engineering programmes. Their Students would visit PEC for training at Siemens Lab and Semiconductor Research Centre, etc. Director, Prof. Baldev Setia, said that this MoU will strengthen the bond for future collaborative academic and research projects. At the the Prof. Arun K. Singh along with other esteemed members of Faculty provided a warmest vote of thanks and expressed his gratitude towards the Vice Chancellor Prof. Mehta and other members of University of Ladakh. The ceremony ended on a high note.
