It is a matter of immense pride & honour that the Centenary year Calendar of PEC as part of Centenary Celebrations was released by Hon’ble Governor of Punjab & Administrator UT, Chandigarh-Sh. Banwari Lal Purohit along with Adviser to the Administrator-Sh. Dharam Pal , IAS & Secretary, Technical Education, Chandigarh Administration-Sh. S.S. Gill , IAS at Governor House today in the presence of Director, PEC-Prof. Baldev Setia, Dean Alumni Corporate & International Relations, PEC-Prof. Divya Bansal, Registrar, PEC-Prof. Sushant Samir, Deputy Director, PEC-Prof. Siby John, Head of Materials and Metallurgical Engg. Department, PEC- Prof. Uma Batra,
The calendar captures the aesthetics, the iconic structures and natural beauty of the PEC Campus beautifully & skillfully photographed by renowned Hobbyist Photographer Dr. Arun Khanna.
The photograph of the auditorium of PEC which is one of the iconic structures of Chandigarh as it housed the first Legislative Assembly of Punjab in 1953 was presented to Hon’ble Governor of Punjab & Administrator UT, Chandigarh-Sh. Banwari Lal Purohit by Director, PEC-Prof. Baldev Setia as a memento followed by the photograph of The President of India- Sh. Ram Nath Kovind being presented with the PEC Coffee Table Book on 16.11.2021 as a token of reverence. A citation for the contribution of Prof. Arun Khanna in the Calendar through his imageries was presented to him by Director, PEC-Prof. Baldev Setia in the ceremony. The event was a memorable one for all present.
The Governor appreciated the efforts of the team led by the Director in celebrating the Centenary Year and conveyed his wishes for the institute to keep progressing well in all its future endeavors.
