The NSS unit of Punjab Engineering College (deemed to be University) has been functioning since its incorporation in 1966. To strengthen the idea of Youth development, the institute has offered NSS as a credited course with credit at the end of 1st year and as a proficiency course with credit at the end of final year. Students have a choice to opt for NSS as a credited course among NCC, NSS and Sports in their first year. For the duration up till the final year, the students have a choice to opt for NSS as their proficiency course among various clubs, technical societies, NCC, NSS and Sports. The Institute strongly supports all the activities of NSS being held in the Institute.
