This Christmas, the Blind School, Sector 26, Chandigarh, was filled with warmth, joy, and festive cheer as the children celebrated the festival of love and togetherness in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh. The event was held recently, under the guidance of the school’s Principal, Mr. Rajesh Kumar, with the support of Rotaract President Simrat Sidhu, Secretary Lakshit Jain, and Faculty Counsellor Mr. Vibhor Chaswal.
The highlight of the celebration was the interactive engagement session, where Rotaractors spent meaningful time with the children, sharing conversations and celebrating the spirit of Christmas together. The children’s warmth and enthusiasm created a joyful and inclusive atmosphere throughout the visit. During the interaction, the children actively participated and expressed happiness while engaging with the Rotaractors, making the session deeply heartening for everyone present.
A total of 24 Rotaractors from PEC joined the children in the celebration, contributing actively to the success of the event. Core members present included Kritika, Club Editor; Jai, Publicity Head; and Asmit, Marketing Head, who played a key role in planning, coordination, and outreach for the event. Rotaract members present from PEC were Gunntanya, Nyssa, Reva, Ridhima Singh, Jiya Singh, Shreya Walia, Lavanya Verma, Bianca Soni, Manveer Singh, Nirmit, Sohail Siddiqui, Jashanpreet Singh, Aryan Pal, Amarjot Singh, Harwin Singh, Angad Singh, Bhupender, Reet Gupta, Surbhi Mittal, Shreya Chabbra, Khushi Mittal.
The day concluded with the distribution of chocolates, chips, sweets, and candies, leaving behind smiles, laughter, and a strong sense of festive togetherness.
