We are glad to inform you that Bhavtegh Singh Gill, 2nd Year student of Aerospace Engineering, has won two Bronze Medals for INDIA at the ongoing ISSF World Championship Shotgun being held in Croatia. In this World Championship, 77 nations comprising 633 athletes took part and they are competing in 20 Olympic Shotgun Shooting events. The Indian Shooting team comprising 24 athletes is competing in all 20 events for a total of 40 medals.
On 4th October, Bhavtegh won his first Bronze medal in the Skeet Mixed Team event. After the qualification rounds, Team India comprising Bhavtegh Singh Gill and Zahra Deesawala qualified for the Bronze Medal match against Team USA. Bhavtegh alongside his teammate Zahra won the bronze medal by defeating the- team USA by 5-1.
On 5th October, Bhavtegh won his 2nd medal in the Skeet Team event alongside his teammates Abhay Singh Sekhon and Rituraj Bundela after defeating the team from the Czech Republic by 6-2.
