PEC (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh, signed an MoU with the International Centre for AI and Cyber Security Research and Innovations (CCRI), Asia University, Taiwan on 27th July, 2023. The agreement was signed between Prof. Baldev Setia, Director, PEC and Prof. Brij B. Gupta, Director, CCRI, Asia University, Taiwan.
With an objective to promote the collaborations between both the institutions and providing a platform for global experience opportunities, the key points of the pact document were drafted by Dr. Poonam Saini, Associate Professor, CSE department.
Following are the highlights of the MoU signed between PEC, Chandigarh and (CCRI), Asia University, Taiwan:
- To liaison and cooperate in the areas of advanced research and educational programmes
- To organise joint seminars/conferences/workshops and short-term courses on topics of mutual interest
- To encourage and promote the collaborative participation between the faculty from both the institutes so as to enhance the quality of education and to add value to course curriculum.
It aims to facilitate the mutual sharing of latest research and technology in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI), cyber physical systems, cloud computing, social media and networking and other related fields, between the scholars, faculty members and students. The MoU signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Trilok Chand, Head, CSE department, Dr. Rajesh Kanda, Head of Alumni Corporate & International Relations, Dr. Jimmy Karloopia, Prof. In-charge and Dr. Rajesh Bhatia, Dean Academic Affairs from Punjab Engineering College Chandigarh.
