The Hindi Editorial Board (HEB) of Punjab Engineering College (PEC) successfully hosted a three-day poetry workshop under the supervision of their OI Lokesh Sir that attracted over 40 students, from 14th to 16th October. The workshop featured two eminent poets, Dr. Shams Tabrezi and Dr. Aneesh Garg, who guided the participants through the intricacies of writing and reading poetry.
Dr. Shams Tabrezi, celebrated for his profound and emotive poetry, began by discussing the significance of self-expression and the power of words. He encouraged students to channel their inner thoughts and emotions into poetry, making the art form a reflection of their personal experiences. Dr. Aneesh Garg, known for his mastery of poetic techniques, introduced students to the technical aspects of poetry such as rhythm, meter, and imagery. He also conducted interactive sessions where participants learned to identify and appreciate the deeper layers of meaning in various poems.
The workshop provided a balanced mix of theoretical knowledge and practical exercises, allowing students to compose their own poems under expert guidance. By the end of the workshop, attendees felt more confident in their writing abilities and expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to learn from such accomplished poets.
The event was a resounding success, leaving students inspired and eager to continue their poetic journey.
