Kabir Arora, a 2nd-year student of Computer Science & Engineering at Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh, showcased his innovative brilliance at the RedBull Basement India Finals, held in Hyderabad from 16th to 18th November 2024. Competing among some of the brightest young minds across the country, Kabir secured the 3rd position.
Competition began on 1st August, with over 40 days dedicated to conceptualizing and submitting a startup idea. Out of numerous entries, Kabir's idea made it to the Top 30, after which he submitted a compelling 60-second elevator pitch. From these, only the Top 8 finalists were selected to pitch their ideas live in Hyderabad.
During the grand finale, Kabir presented his idea to an audience of 200, including a panel of esteemed judges including Mr. Shantanu Deshpande, CEO of Bombay Shaving Company, Mr. Rishabh Telang, Founder of Cult.fit, Mr. Praveen Koduru, Head of Marketing: Data Centers (AMD) and Mr. Vinayak Hegde, Principal AI Advocate, Microsoft. The judges lauded Kabir's innovative approach and creativity, personally commending his work and offering encouraging opportunities for the future.
Reflecting on the event, Kabir remarked that, "The entire experience was filled with youthfulness, innovation, and immense learning. Competing at this level and receiving praise from such distinguished individuals has been truly inspiring."
