The Inter-Technology University Sports Association (ITUSA) Championship 2025 is underway at Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh, from November 7–9, 2025. The tournament has witnessed spirited participation from leading technical institutions across North India, featuring intense matches in volleyball and badminton for both men’s and women’s categories.
On the opening day, PEC delivered a commanding performance, securing a 3–1 victory against Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology in the men’s volleyball match, showcasing teamwork, resilience, and strong defense. In the women’s volleyball division, NIT Delhi triumphed over PEC with a 3–0 win, displaying consistent form and coordination. Continuing their momentum, NIT Delhi and Thapar registered additional wins today, with Delhi maintaining a clean record at 3–1.
In badminton, PEC’s athletes demonstrated exceptional skill and sportsmanship. In the men’s singles, Shivansh K defeated Anshul (NIT Hamirpur) in a thrilling three-set match with scores of 21–19, 16–21, 21–19, securing a vital win for PEC. Raghav (M) followed with a straight-set victory against Sayam (NIT Hamirpur), 21–19, 21–14, further solidifying PEC’s dominance. The men’s doubles team of Shivansh and Kunal also emerged victorious against NIT Hamirpur, completing a clean sweep for PEC in the first round.
In the women’s badminton category, Charmie led PEC to victory in the singles, overpowering NIT Hamirpur with decisive scores of 21–9, 21–8. The doubles pair Sabreena and Charmie continued PEC’s winning streak, securing another straight-set victory at 21–9, 21–7.
The ITUSA Championship 2025 continues to foster healthy competition and camaraderie among premier technical institutions, reflecting the growing emphasis on sportsmanship and physical excellence alongside academic distinction.
