The Entrepreneurship and Incubation Cell (EIC) of Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh, organized a special workshop on "Technology Transfer and Startups" and "Semester Internships" today, 28th August 2024. The session was graced by Prof. Manu from the Technology Enabling Centre, DST, Panjab University, Chandigarh, along with Dr. Poonam Saini, Head of CDGC. The event was coordinated by Dr. Simranjit Singh, Coordinator of EIC. All students of EIC-PEC attended the session.
The event began with a roundtable discussion. Prof. Manu delivered a comprehensive presentation on the technology transfer and startup industry, offering insights into the startup process, legal formalities, and the stages from ideation to execution. He encouraged students to embrace technology and leverage it for launching new startups.
Following this, Prof. Poonam Saini led the session on "Semester Internships," providing guidance on the placement process and best practices for acing company tests and interviews. She emphasized the importance of ethical practices in securing internships and assured students of ongoing support.
Dr. Simranjit Singh then highlighted the activities of EIC-PEC, fostering a spirit of entrepreneurship among students and motivating them to pursue future opportunities. He reiterated the importance of ethical practices in securing internships and placements. Lastly, he also asked them to be "Be Unique in every aspect of their life".
The event concluded on a high note, leaving students inspired and motivated.
