The Entrepreneurship and Incubation Cell of Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University) Chandigarh, organised the second edition of E-SUMMIT 2023 on 15-16 April 2023. Prof. Baldev Setia, Director of PEC, was the chief guest of the inaugural session. Some of the Highlights
DAY 1
- Mr. Harit Mohan, Founder & CEO- of Signicent Information Solutions, gave a keynote speech on “Pain of Startup or Pain of Regret?”.
- There were a number of fun activities planned simultaneously for the day for the students, such as the IPL Auction, Startup Expo, Intern Fair, Funding Conclave, Treasure hunt, Panel discussions, and open mic.
- The theme for the Women Conclave (Panel Discussion) was, Overcoming Obstacles: Stories of Resilience and Perseverance from Successful Women Entrepreneurs. The panel members were Drishti Kharbanda, CEO of Women Made Craft, Ms. Sartaj Lamba, Founder and CEO of Besure Buddy Pvt (BUDDY CABS & CARE), Kanika Rajdev, CEO of Mindcog and Shaira Kansal, CEO Kaam India. The panel discussion was followed by the second keynote lecture by Aseem Ghavri.
DAY 2
- On the second day of E-Summit 2023, various competitions and events were organised for enthusiastic participants from schools and colleges. Events like Bazaar, Startup Expo, Networking Arena, Intern Fair, Funding Conclave, Build and Pitch, and Biz Quiz were some of the other interesting activities organised for the students to participate in and gain knowledge.
- The Panel Discussion titled Creator’s Conclave consisted of Aditya Saini, Founder and CEO of Divine Media, Ishaan Arora, Co-Founder of FinLadder, Hardik Banga, Founder of AcadBuzz, Paritosh Anand, Founder of Believe clothing and WeSmile media.
- The event progressed with a keynote speaker session by Mr. Nikhil Doda, Co-Founder and COO of Archian Foods Pvt. Ltd. (Lahori Jeera). The event moved ahead with a stand-up session by comedian Nishant Kumar.
- The most awaited speaker session by actor and entrepreneur, Mr. Vishal Malhotra discussed his experiences in different spheres of life.
The event remained a great success witnessing huge participation from aspiring entrepreneurs.
The event organizing committee included faculty members namely Prof. Parminderjit Singh (EIC Coordinator) and Prof. Sandeep Salodkar and Prof. Alka Jindal as EIC Co-ordinators.
