Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University) celebrated International Women’s Day on March 8th by collaborating with the Cyber Cell of UT Police to create a human chain. The chain also included a large number of student volunteers from PEC and members from the UT Police. The event took place at 1pm in the afternoon in front of the institute. Human chains were formed in institutions all across Chandigarh to represent solidarity and to celebrate women. In honour of the occasion, banners emphasising the achievements of women in diverse spheres. The banners also shed light on gender equality and to promote a society with no gender bias.
