The final day of the Under Graduate Orientation Programme took place on the 1st of August, 2016. This day exposed the children to the various cultural and technical societies present in the college along with their annual cultural and technical fest, PECFEST. The day also included a detailed walking tour of the college for the new students to acquaint them with their campus.
The day commenced with presentations that were held by the various student heads of the different technical societies such as IEEE, American Society of Civil Engineers and Society of Automotive Engineers. The editorial boards of the college also came forth and presented themselves. It was followed by the presentations of the various cultural societies such as Art and Photography Club (APC), the Dramatics club, the Music club, Projection and Design Club(PDC) to name a few. After this, the students went on a detailed walk through the college where they were shown certain hotspots such as the library, the computer centre and the newly inaugurated Centre of Excellence. The Centre of Excellence houses a lot of the newly purchased technology that PEC is a proud owner of, including their 3-D printing machine. Finally, a special guest lecture was held by Mr. Ajay Mohan Goel where he spoke about the skills required for the corporal world. This lecture was very well received by the students.
The day marked the end of the 4 day Orientation Programme that officially inducted the incoming batch into the PEC society.
