Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized a Faculty Enablement Program (FEP) on Web Front-End Technologies under Infosys Campus Connect w.e.f March 1st to 5th, 2017. The workshop recorded a participation of 38 faculty participants from various engineering colleges. The expert from Infosys team, Ms. Manisha and Ms. Kamaljeet Kaur started the first day session with emphasis on the need of current web technologies along with history of web technologies like Flex, Flash. The last session was ended on the latest advancements in the field like Node js, Angular js. There were theoretical and hands-on sessions with execution of code and scripts. The workshop was oriented towards bridging the gap in the curriculum of web-based courses in Academia and Industry requirement on emerging front-end technologies. The teachers were trained to train the students to design innovative applications and projects with the use of current web technologies.
Day 5 of the workshop ended with a valedictory session. Dean Faculty Affairs, Prof. Rajesh Bhatia laid emphasis on the benefits from such workshops and its importance for students. Prof. Sanjeev Sofat, Head CSE, talked about the potential of upcoming students and the teacher's contribution to motivate them to develop societal applications. The course coordinator(s) Prof. Sudesh Rani and Dr. Poonam Saini coordinated one-to-one interaction with the participants on the feedback as well as the take away from the workshop.
The workshop ended with a message from Infosys and PEC organizing team that the participant faculty must assure to make their students more learned about the latest web-front end technologies.
