Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh, commenced Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 with the administration of the Integrity Pledge on 27th October, 2025. The pledge was led by Prof. Rajesh Kumar Bhatia, Director, PEC, and joined by Prof. Shobhna Dhiman, Registrar, along with all Heads of Departments, faculty members, and staff.
This year’s Vigilance Awareness Week, observed from 27th October to 2nd November, 2025, revolves around the theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility.” The event underscored PEC’s unwavering commitment to promoting transparency, honesty, and accountability in all institutional practices.
Director PEC, Prof. Rajesh Kumar Bhatia, administered the Integrity Pledge and urged everyone to imbibe these values in their professional and personal conduct. He emphasized the importance of being proactive, responsible, and respectful in the workplace, fostering a culture of ethical decision-making and calm resolution of conflicts.
A presentation highlighting the history, vision, and mandate of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) was also showcased to enhance awareness about the Commission’s pivotal role in promoting integrity and eradicating corruption. To further strengthen the spirit of integrity, a Signature Campaign was launched across the campus, inviting faculty, staff, and students to pledge their support for a corruption-free environment and reaffirm their dedication to ethical practices.
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Prof. Balwinder Singh, who appreciated the collective enthusiasm and active participation of all members of the PEC fraternity in this vital national initiative.
