An External Peer Review Committee constituted of various eminent personalities, accomplished in their fields, are on their three-day visit to the campus of Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University) Chandigarh to evaluate the academic and administrative functioning and prepare a roadmap for the institute. The Peer Review committee members in the late hours of the first day visit on 28th November 2022 met the UT Administration where Shri Dharam Pal, IAS, Advisor to the Administrator, Dr. Vijay Namdeorao Zade, IAS, Finance Secretary and Shri Amandeep Singh Bhatti, Additional Secretary Technical Education were also present. The session turned out to be fruitful and productive.
On the second day of visit, the members of the External Peer Review Committee with high spirit and zeal grouped in two teams visited various departments and labs in the campus. During the departmental visits, the head of the departments in presence of the committee members and the faculty members made interactive presentations. In these detailed presentations they highlighted the strengths, shortcomings, challenges and future goals of their departments and PEC. The committee also visited various labs and also interacted with research scholars and students who enthusiastically explained their research work to the committee members.
The session continued with the committee members meeting all the stakeholders including the faculty members, PEC students, staff members and the alumni. The committee members as well the stakeholders participated in the interactions with great zeal. The second day of the review meeting turned out to be very busy as the committee members were engaged in various meetings, presentations and interactions.
