The 9th International Yoga Day, "Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam," was celebrated today at Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University) Chandigarh. Prof. Baldev Setia, Director PEC, Dr. D. R. Prajapati, Dean of Student Affairs, and other distinguished faculty members, staff members, and students practiced yoga in the Centenary hall following the instructions of the yoga instructor.
While addressing the audience, Prof. Baldev Setia, Director PEC, emphasised the necessity of practicing yoga on a daily basis for the improvement of both physical and mental health. He inspired the current members to do yoga every day in order to achieve balance in our minds, body, and soul.
The event was organised by DSA, Dr. D.R. Prajapati and Dr. Sarabjit Singh, ADSA (Sports). This event instilled in the minds of students, staff, and faculty members a respect for Yoga, which has been a part of our Indian culture for centuries.
