PEC University of Technology provided a forum for the students participating in the 'Capacity Building Tour' organized under the aegis of Headquarters192 Mountain Brigade under Sadbhavana, on August 29th, 2017, to provide them with an insight into various aspects pertaining to facilities, future prospects and means to enroll and avail the admission into prime institutions of India.
The campus visit was organized and conducted by the Career Development and Guidance Centre (CDGC) for this group of 20 students accompanied by a few teachers and Army personnel from Biamah Sector, Leh District (JandK), and they were given an opportunity to interact with our esteemed faculty members, so as to solve whatever doubts students as freshmen have about institutions and their functioning.
During the visit, a workshop was held, and as a part of it, the students were addressed by the Deputy Director, Dean Student Affairs, Dean Academic Affairs, Associate Dean Academic Affairs and Head, CDGC. The students were given a brief overview about the college, it's history and legacy, the education system, the culture, and the procedure of placements that is followed in the institute.
The seminar was followed by a Campus Tour that included visits to the workshops, labs, library, Computer Centre and various departments of the institute.
The main purpose of the visit was to broaden the horizon of students by facilitating positive interaction with the educational system outside of their district, and give them an exposure to engineering studies, lab and other facilities, which was catered to, and the group returned back, and left us, with a sense of gratitude.
