PEC University of Technology celebrated the 68th Republic Day. The ceremony began with the unfurling of the flag by Chief Guest, Dr. Uma Batra, Deputy Director.
Dean Student Affairs Dr. Perminderjit Singh, Associate Dean Student affairs Dr. S K Mangal, Registrar Mr. Manish Jindal, Deans and HoDS of various departments, faculty, staff members and students were present.
The NCC parade followed the National Anthem. Despite the heavy rains, the cadets displayed perfectly coordinated movements with great enthusiasm.
The energetic dance performances on a medley of patriotic songs and the infectious beats of bhangra filled the crowd with great energy. The heartfelt renditions of patriotic songs aroused feelings of love and brotherhood among all. Various speeches highlighted how our nation had come a long way, and how we still had a long way to go.
Dr. Batra, in her speech highlighted the technical and cultural achievements of the college and thanked the students and teachers for their support. The Chief Cultural Secretary and the Joint Chief Cultural Secretary delivered the vote of thanks. The event culminated with releasing of tri color balloons.
