Career Development and Guidance Cell (CDGC), Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University) Chandigarh, is organising its annual Pre-Placement training. The second day of annual three day Pre-Placement Training 2023 started with zeal and fervour. The first speaker, Amit Hans (Co-founder and Director, Educorp), delivered a session on Group Discussions and Personal Interviews and guided the students on interview preparation, including tips, debunking myths, and sharing his own experiences. He explained that although the majority of the applicants enter the interview room with a fearful mindset, the interviewer always has a positive mindset about the applicant.
The session progressed with Maheen Jaiswal (LinkedIn expert and corporate trainer) guiding students on how to make a LinkedIn profile more appealing. LinkedIn is a powerful tool in today’s corporate world and can be leveraged to one’s benefit.
After lunch, Sumit Khanna gave a talk on soft skills and aptitude, offering insights on how to excel in interviews and he emphasised on the importance of improving soft skills.
Additionally, while the aforementioned sessions were taking place in the auditorium for the Electrical, Mechanical, and Production branches, simultaneous sessions on group discussions, personal interviews, soft skills, and aptitude workshops were held in the New Academic Block building for the remaining branches, including CSE, ECE, CS (M.tech.), Civil, Metallurgy, Aerospace, and Non CS (M.tech).
The pre-placement training event will be organised from 8th April to 10th April 2023.
