PECFEST 2016: Day 3

Witnessing participation of more than 15,000 college students, the annual techno-cultural fest of PEC University of Technology, came to an end on 10th October 2016.
The morning of Day 3 was eventful; however, the best was saved up for the remaining part of the day. Cultural and technical events such as ‘Nukkad Natak’, ‘Art and Photography Exhibition’ and ‘Robo Rumble’ were the highlights of the day while 'Avengers’ and ‘Rapbattle’ stole the show. The newly introduced ‘Antakshari’, witnessed enthusiastic participation and attracted the fancy of many people. Various competitions such as CNC Wars, Bazm-e-Shayri and vibrant events like Spell Bee, Circuit Trek and Videocon Talent Hunt also took place. Other than these events, the main arena had a lot of talent to showcase. The theme for the night “Grooves and Glitterati” was brought to life with a fashion show which attracted participants from several colleges. The night ended in a spirited note with the Bhangra-Theque bringing a more Punjabi musical vibe to the day. The rapt audience was caught in the enthusiasm and exuberance of the dancers on stage as they wove their magic through the night.
The day and the fest ended on a lively note leaving higher expectations for PECFEST 2017. People were saddened as ‘The Fest of The Year’ came to an end. However, these fun filled promising 3 days will be brought to life next year as well with the toil and enthusiasm of the students of PEC University of Technology.

PEC welcomed Mr. Bikram Singh Garewal, the university’s oldest alum at Homecoming 2020: Global Alumni Meet. After graduating from PEC in 1943, Mr.Bikram has gone on to achieve many great feats in life.

A MoU was signed between PEC and PEDA for Research and Development Projects on Energy Conservation & Energy Efficiency under Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power, Govt. of India.

98th Foundation Day

PEC has completed 98 wonderful years since it’s foundation in 1921. A celebratory event was organized to mark the foundation of the college. The Chief Guest for the event was Director, PEC, Prof. Dheeraj Sanghi.
