Dr. Manpreet Kaur, part of the Green Catalysis Group led by Prof. Vasundhara Singh, Department of Chemistry at Punjab Engineering College, made a significant impact at the 16th International Conference on the Environmental Effects of Nanoparticles and Nanomaterials, hosted by the University of Plymouth in the United Kingdom. Her groundbreaking presentation at the conference highlighted the transformative potential of Biomass-Driven Graphene Modification as magnetic photoactive materials with solar light harvesting for wastewater treatment. Her research, a vital component of her Ph.D., has been published in a high-impact journal of Catalysis Science and Technology by the Royal Society of Chemistry. This journey from biomass to brilliance showcases the remarkable advancements in this field."
Dr. Kaur, has been recognized for her exceptional work in the field of nanomaterials and environmental effects and honoured with the prestigious SERB International Travel Grant, a grant offered by the Department of Science and Technology - Science and Engineering Research Board (DST-SERB). SERB- International Travel Support (ITS) Scheme provides financial assistance to Indian researchers for presenting a research paper in an international scientific event held abroad. Dr. Kaur showers heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Arun Kumar Singh, the Head of Sponsored Research & Industrial Consultancy, and Dr. Anu Pratap Singh for their unwavering support which helped her in securing international grant from SERB.
Dr. Kaur expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to interact with such remarkable minds in the scientific community.
