Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh, marked the beginning of Vigilance Awareness Week - 2024 by taking the Integrity Pledge today, on 28th October 2024. The pledge was led by Prof. Rajesh Kumar Bhatia, Director, PEC, and was joined by Col. R.M. Joshi, Registrar, along with all the Heads of the Departments and the faculty members.
The Vigilance Awareness Week - 2024 centers around the theme, "Culture of Integrity for Nation's Prosperity," to be observed from 28th October to 3rd November 2024. This pledge reaffirmed PEC’s commitment to uphold the highest standards of honesty, transparency, and integrity, encouraging vigilance and ethical practices among the faculty and staff.
To further promote the spirit of integrity, a signature campaign has been initiated across various locations on the campus, allowing participants to express their commitment to a corruption-free environment.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Prof. Balwinder Singh, who acknowledged the collective efforts of all staff members in this essential initiative against corruption.
