A panel discussion, "Mera Yuva Bharat," recently held at Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh on 30th October, 2023 which was graced by Sh. Saurav Khurana (former Deputy Advocate General Punjab); and Dr. Tanveen Kaur Gill (medical professional); Prof. Vasundhara Singh (Dean of Faculty Affairs); Prof. Arun Kumar Singh (Head SRIC), Prof. Amandeep Kaur, Prof. Nidhi Tanwar and Prof. Mayank Gupta.
This discussion was focused on the "Mera Yuva Bharat" campaign, emphasizing the importance of the youth demographic in India, with over 65% of the population below 35.
The event aimed to discuss various aspects of youth involvement in building a better India. Various student panelists, Kashish, Shiraz Mangat, Siddharth Kulshrestha, Hemaldeep Lohtia, Aryan, Pranav Dhariwal, and Avi Sinha along with many students SAASC club were also present in the discussion to explore and celebrate the essence of youth engagement and empowerment in contemporary India. The panel discussion brought out various insights on Youth Demographic Advantage, Need for Skill Development, Mental Health Awareness, Legal Advocacy for Human Rights, Research and Innovation etc. Whole of the event was sponsored by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt of India.
These kinds of discussions help in emphasizing the potential of the youth demographic and the importance of providing them with the necessary skills, knowledge, and support to become active contributors to the development of India.
