The Under-Graduate Orientation Programme of PEC University of Technology moved forward with remarkable momentum on 3rd August, 2017. The third day's agenda was to familiarize the students with the plethora of compulsory extra curricula that the institute provides.
The day convened with a presentation on the National Service Scheme (NSS), which laid emphasis on how to bring about a peaceful life for the lower strata of society. This was followed by National Cadet Corps's (NCC) presentation. With extensive workouts and marches that showcase discipline, NCC brings about the evolution of a youngster into an adult. The Physical Education department then highlighted the significance of inculcating physical activities in the daily routine to keep oneself physically and mentally fit. The Student Counseling Cell (SCC) showcased all the steps it has taken and will pursue in the future to avert the common problems faced by students.
The orientation was graced by the presence of Dr. Dharinder Tayal and Mr. Vishal Sehgal, alumni of PEC, who engaged in an interactive session with the audience. This was followed by a presentation on Dream Internships that have been undertaken by the current final year students. This exhibition of the ocean of opportunities left the incoming batch all agog.
The focus was then grabbed by the various Technical Societies such as the ASCE, SAE, IEEE, IETE, the Robotics Society etc. The technical projects made by the students were put on display and were open to the discerning eyes of every fresher, who found plenty of inspiration from the innovative ideas. Thus, the penultimate day of the Orientation was a resounding success.
