Inter-Technology University Sports Association (INTUSA), in collaboration with PEC Chandigarh, organised the three day sports tournament in Badminton, Lawn Tennis and Chess (boys & girls) from October 20-22, 2023.
In Badminton (Boys), Thapar triumphed over NIT Jalandhar in the first match (3-0), while SLIET Longowal secured victory against NIT Delhi (3-0). PEC Chandigarh dominated with a 3-0 win against NIT Delhi, advancing to the finals. The final clash witnessed an outstanding performance by PEC, securing their victory against Thapar (3-0). In Badminton (Girls), Thapar Patiala clinched the top spot after defeating NIT Delhi (2-0) in a spirited match.
The Chess (Boys) category saw Thapar, Patiala emerge as champions, with PEC Chandigarh in second place and NIT Delhi in third. Thapar Patiala also dominated in Chess (Girls), followed by NIT Kurukshetra and NIT Delhi.
In Lawn Tennis, Thapar Patiala secured the first position in both Boys and Girls categories. However, PEC Chandigarh displayed remarkable prowess by claiming victory over Thapar in the Girls' finals (2-1).
Dr. D.R. Prajapati, Dean Student Affairs and Dr. Sarbjit Singh, ADSA (Sports), distributed the trophies, certificates and prizes to the winners and participants of the tournaments.
These tournaments were a testament to the incredible sporting spirit and skill exhibited by the participating universities.
