| Abstract | Nowadays, the efforts to achieve carbon neutrality are getting much significance. The demand for processed food items is increasing, to fulfil the same substantial carbon footprint is generated. Hence, the decarbonisation prospects need to be explored for the existing network of the food supply chain. Owing to the same, the presented work identifies and analyses the dimension of endorsers to decarbonise the food supply chain. This study deliberates the duo approach in which initially, decarbonisation endorsers are identified and then analysed for its decisional critics. The endorsers of high significance are filtered from the identified endorsers by the methodology of exploratory factor analysis. Furthermore, to enrich the synthesis, the filtered dimension of endorsers is analysed for the quantification of its mutual interdependencies. For the same, the newly befitted methodology of Interval-valued neutrosophic vague-based decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory is used. This hybrid methodology quantifies the potential of endorsers in decarbonization, categorizes them into the causal and effect group respectively. This improves the decision-making process by deliberating the mutual impact of the endorsers to decarbonize the existing practices in food supply chains. The outcomes of the presented work are validated by carrying out sensitivity analysis for the obtained outranked dimension of decarbonization endorsers. Results shows that endorser ‘Leading innovations’ in the field of food supply chains has potential to promote its decarbonization and followed by the need of endorsing the regulations by governmental bodies. This work finds its implication to steer the exiting food supply chain towards the avenues of decarbonization and make production-consumption more responsible. Furthermore, the outcomes have potential to govern the decision-making processes to gain strategic, tactical and operational excellence under realm of decarbonizing the food supply chains. |
