Description
Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy relies on the principle that the most organic molecules and inorganic compounds absorb light in the infra-red region of the electromagnetic spectrum. The absorption matches molecular bonding of the particular molecule. The frequency range is measured as wave numbers in the range 4000–600 cm-1.
