Applications are invited from interested candidates for the position of Project Associate I and II to work in the DST- “Promotion of University Research and Scientific Excellence (PURSE) 2024 Program”. PURSE (Ref. No. SR/PURSE/2024/350: TPN: 105965) sponsored project entitled “Sustainable Technologies for Biomaterials and Diagnostic Devices for Healthcare”. The position is temporary and is available immediately.

Job Title Project Associate I, Project Associate II

Fellowship

For Project Associate I:
(i) 31,000/- + HRA to scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests - CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
(ii) 25,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.

For Project Associate II:
(i)35,000/- + HRA to Scholars who are selected through a process as mentioned as for project associate I
(ii) 28,000/- + HRA Tor others who do not fall under (i) above.
Essential Qualification

For Project Associate I:
Master’s Degree in Physics/ Chemistry/ Materials Sciences/ Nanoscience and Nanotechnology
or
Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology in Electronics and Communication /Mechanical/ Production or Chemical from a recognized University or equivalent

For Project Associate II:
(i) Master’s Degree in Physics/ Chemistry/ Materials Sciences/ Nanoscience and Nanotechnology
or
Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology in Electronics and Communication /Mechanical/ Production or Chemical from a recognized University or equivalent And
(ii) 2 years' experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organisations and Scientific activities and services

**First Class (6.5 grades point out of 10) or 60% marks in Master or equivalent degree
Age Limit Upper age Limit: 35 years on the last date of application. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC and PWD candidates is applicable as per Government of India norms
Tenure of Post The position is coterminous with the project.

  • Candidates should email on dstpurse@pec.edu.in in the given format given on page no. 3 by 04/08/2025 (11:59 PM) with the subject, “Application for post of Project Associate- I/ Project Associate- II ” in DST PURSE project. Proof of Date of Birth, Category and qualification degree (To be attached in pdf format). The name of attached files should be labelled as: Name @ DOB (MM/DD/YYYY) in pdf
  • The eligibility will be access based on verification of original document. Only eligible candidates will be allowed to appear for walk in interview to be held on 12 August, 2025.
  • At the time of interview, candidates should bring along with them original documents and completed bio-data as per the prescribed format, giving full details of educational qualifications and experience with attested copies of mark sheets / certificates and experience certificates of the candidate addressed to the PI, DST-PURSE Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University) with recent passport size photographs.

Notes:

  • The terms and conditions of the sanction order SR/PURSE/2024/350: TPN: 105965, under terms and conditions, point no.8 states that the reservation for SC/ST or OBC in the posts or services will be as per GFR 2017 rule 230 (17) will be followed.
  • The applicant will be responsible for the authenticity of information, other documents and photographs submitted.
  • No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.
  • The selected candidates will be governed by DST- PURSE & PEC guidelines
