The Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi launched Viksit Bharat @2047: Voice of Youth today across the nation. During the program, PM Modi addressed the Vice Chancellors, Directors, and heads of various institutions in this youth workshop to mark the beginning of the initiative.
Director PEC, Prof. Baldev Setia also joined this event at Raj Bhawan Chandigarh. Here, at Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh, Deputy Director, Prof. Siby John; Dean Student Affairs Dr. D.R. Prajapati, along with all the faculty and staff members attended the launch event.
Prof. Siby John, Deputy Director, while addressing the gathering said that It's a privilege to be part of this initiative for the development of the nation. He said that this is an ideation stage for the nation in the year 2047. He introduced the program to all the faculty and staff members. He also shared the SoPs for the institution. He further said that India is a $3.7 trillion economy, and such an initiative will surely make India Viksit Bharat by 2047.
Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, while elaborating the need to create an Amrit Generation, said that, "youth power is both the agent of change and also the beneficiaries of Change. This is a great campaign to write the future of the country.'' He also asked the youth to turn their suggestions to further enhance the grandeur of Viksit Bharat.
