She emphasized on the concerted efforts of the organisation to encourage simple living and the cultural and spiritual understanding between the east and west.

Swami Lalitanandaji began his address by drawing a parallel between the human body and the power plant. Through this analogy, he underscored the importance of recognising our inner potential, developing it and eventually achieving success. He stressed that the only way to develop potential is through the power of concentration. He narrated several stories and anecdotes to support his view. ‘You can only think of miracles when your mind is capable of the power of concentration’, he quoted while explaining his point through one of the stories of Swami Paramhansa. He further explained the development of concentration by controlling the rate of breathing, which could be achieved through the practice of Kriya Yoga.

Lastly, he provided a brief insight on some of Swami Paramhansaji’s teachings like will power, overcoming bad habits, dealing with stress and most significantly, the power of Karma and the consequences of one’s past deeds. He also encouraged the audience to visit the YSS book display that was setup outside the auditorium.
