PECFest is the annual technical and cultural festival of Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University). This year it is scheduled from 8th to 10th November, 2019.

The fest organises more than a 110 technical and cultural competitions. Technical events vary from discipline to discipline, and major categories involve Aerospace, Coding, Civil, Metallurgy, Aeronautical, Electronics, Robotics etc. Events like RoboWars, hackathon, code relays, canoe building and aeromodelling have been a major eye catcher drawing huge participation, and offering huge prize amounts. At the same time, cultural events are also spread in a variety of domains such drama, dance, literary, quizzes, music, modelling, stage shows etc. These events also become the pride of the main stage, as large events like “Bhangra Theque”, “Groovz” and “Glitterati” attract huge participation and audience, and keep all of them amused. This year also witnesses our biggest collaboration yet, with IIT Bombay, as PECfest hosts the north zonals for Mood Indigo and Techfest, the cultural and the technical fests of the IIT Bombay respectively.

From hosting top-notch musicians like Sukhwinder Singh, Farhan Akhtar, Amit Trivedi and duo Vishal-Shekhar, The Local Train, Indian Ocean, Sara Santini, Zephyrtone and Jochen Miller, our cultural nights have been major crowd-pullers. The fest has also previously been host to technical sessions like Walter Levin, Vivek Prakash and its own TEDx, and also to other guest speakers like Sankalp Kohli, Yahya Bootwala, Terrible Tiny Tales, that are a storehouse of immense knowledge and fun.

With more than 8000 total participants and a footfall of over 40,000, the fest is bustling with activity on all three days.

A MoU was signed between PEC and PEDA for Research and Development Projects on Energy Conservation & Energy Efficiency under Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power, Govt. of India.

98th Foundation Day

PEC has completed 98 wonderful years since it’s foundation in 1921. A celebratory event was organized to mark the foundation of the college. The Chief Guest for the event was Director, PEC, Prof. Dheeraj Sanghi.
