PEC focuses on Women Empowerment

The Women Empowerment Cell , PEC University of Technology  in collaboration with the Dramatics Club of the institute organised a short impactful event in the college auditorium to support women empowerment. The registrar PEC, Mr. Manish Jindal, Campus Counsellor Mrs Neelam Vats and the head of Women empowerment cell  Dr. Harminder Kaur  graced the event with their presence.

PEC University of Technology has initiated this new cell to promote empowerment of women and raise awareness about the key obstacles that women face. The event was marked by enthralling performances by students. The Dramatics Club presented a motivating skit on women empowerment. The skit focussed on women harassment, dowry, ill treatment of widows and education rights to women.

The event kept the audience engaged through and through and succeeded in conveying its message.

PEC welcomed Mr. Bikram Singh Garewal, the university’s oldest alum at Homecoming 2020: Global Alumni Meet. After graduating from PEC in 1943, Mr.Bikram has gone on to achieve many great feats in life.

A MoU was signed between PEC and PEDA for Research and Development Projects on Energy Conservation & Energy Efficiency under Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power, Govt. of India.

98th Foundation Day

PEC has completed 98 wonderful years since it’s foundation in 1921. A celebratory event was organized to mark the foundation of the college. The Chief Guest for the event was Director, PEC, Prof. Dheeraj Sanghi.
