Four Expert Lectures in Civil Engineering

The Department of Civil Engineering, PEC University of Technology organized four expert lectures during Industry Academia Week from 21st-24th March. Mr. Sachin Agarwal, Director, Aditya Consulting (P) Ltd, New Delhi interacted with faculty and students. He elaborated the role of geospatial technologies, data analytics etc. which may be helpful in handling various challenges in a project faced by the civil engineers.

Prof J.S.Ghumman, expert speaker for the second session, shared his vast experience of 30 years and emphasized the role of town planning in civil engineering. Er Ashwani Kansal, Chief Engineer, Punjab Irrigation, third speaker, enlightened the students about various job prospects in the government sector along with management of rivers and water distribution system in the state of Punjab. The issue of international water disputes as well as state water disputes was also discussed.

Sh. Anil Bareja, DGM-Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Delhi interacted on the topic of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). He focused on the effectiveness of the ERP system and also discussed advantages of installing ERP at IOCL.Students appreciated the information received during this academia week.

98th Foundation Day

PEC has completed 98 wonderful years since it’s foundation in 1921. A celebratory event was organized to mark the foundation of the college. The Chief Guest for the event was Director, PEC, Prof. Dheeraj Sanghi.
