Techfest VYOM 2011 (25-27 March 2011)

VYOM 2011, the technical fest of PEC University of Technology, which was spread over 3 days from 25th to 27th March, ended on a high note. Students from over 200 colleges were invited to participate in VYOM. The opening ceremony of VYOM was a Sand Animation show by the renowned sand artist Col. Ronnie Chhiber, which depicted the life of Kalpana Chawla. The opening ceremony had Padmashree Chandra Mohan ji (Chairman, BoG of PEC University of Technology), Dr. Manoj Datta (Director PEC University of Technology), and many more faculty members as a part of it. For the first time, VYOM was the platform for PEC's very own TEDxPECCHD, the localized version of the international TED conference, which had dignitaries coming from all over the country. All the technical events had major participants, and the most successful events were Noesis- The Quiz, Fun on the run, Utkarsh and Civil Wars. The various workshops like Anrdoid, 3D animation and Robotics also had a large number of participants. The fest had a lot of technical and managerial events. Late night movies were also a major attraction. The final day of the fest had Laser Show as the closing event and S.K. Sehgal, Chief General Manager of State Bank of India, was the Chief Guest for the laser show.

Vyom 2011- Annual Technical Fest
