  1. Rotaract Club

Rotaract is an international organization for young men and women between the age group of 18 to 30 who believe they can make a difference. Rotaract started its operations in Punjab Engineering College in the year 1997. The club provides an opportunity to young adults to enhance their knowledge and develop skills that will assist them in their personal development. It also provides an excellent platform to address the physical and social needs of their communities and by doing so it promotes better relations among people worldwide through a framework of friendship and service.

  1. Dose of Hope rally: The club organized a candle light march for its international project regarding AIDS awareness named Dose of Hope.
  2. Seminar on Physical Dystrophy: We also forwarded our services in organizing a seminar on Physical Dystrophy at Indira Holiday Home, sector 24. It was an international seminar wherein the people met each other, shared their views & the doctors examined them.

Future events:

  1. Installation ceremony: It’s an annual ceremony wherein the old president hands over the post to the new president & the executive body for the year is declared.
  2. Interactive Session: Interactive session is organized for the students of 1st year. It is basically aimed at enhancing the interaction between the students of 1st year & 2nd year.  Plays, dance & music are a part of it.
  3. Christmas & New Year Celebrations: The club celebrates Christmas & new year with the children of orphanage. The celebrations are also carried out in General hospital, sector 16.
  4. Diwali celebrations: We plan to celebrate diwali with the senior citizens at Old age home & with the children of Ashiana.
  5. Poster making: Poster making competition will be organized for our college students.
  6. Fun events at Ankur Public School: Fun events like dance competition, painting competition will be organized in Ankur public school.
  7. Tree Plantation: The club also plans to do tree plantation in a school & making the children aware about environment.
  8. Candle selling: Its also an annual event wherein the candles made by the students of the Vatika School for the deaf and dumb are sold in the college premises and the money collected is forwarded to them.
  9. Signature Campaign & Rally: A signature campaign & rally will be organized to create awareness among the masses regarding global warming.
  10. Medical Camp: We’ll be organizing a medical check-up camp at a school wherein the doctors will be examining the children. The children will be given information regarding personal care.
  11. Charity Shop: It’s a relatively new event wherein the club members will donate clothes or other articles which in turn will be distributed among the needy.
  12. Workshops: Workshops for personality development of the club members will also be held wherein special mentors will give them relevant information.
  13. Inter School Competition: The club plans to organize an inter school drawing competition as well.

PECFest Events:

  1. Couple cricket: It’s an event wherein there are 11 teams each consisting of a boy & a girl. The teams do the batting and the bowling part consecutively.
  2. Face Painting: The event doesn’t need any elaboration, the name says it all. The team consists of 2 members.
  3. Couture with Rags: In this the teams are supposed to design an outfit using newpapers, magazines, colors etc. A team consists of 3 members & all the materials are provided.
  4. Inbox: Herein you can give a message or a flower or both to someone you like.
