Central Library
With a collection of about 106000 volumes in Science and Technology, catering to the needs of about 2000 members (both Faculty and Students), imparting/pursuing studies in nine different branches of engineering, it continuously acquires text books and reference books. To keep its readers abreast with latest information in the technology, the library is subscribing to 106 technical journals (Indian and foreign) in print from in the calendar year 2004. Also the library is members of INDEST Consortium under the Ministry of HRD. This Consortium offers online access to a number of technical journals through the under-mentioned portals.
Central Library has subscribed to three more online databases for the access of e-journals in the year 2009. So, now all the users can access following databases for full text of e-journals within the campus.
The Library requests all its users to make full use of these resources.
In Addition to above, following is a list of sites having free access to journals of Engineering & Technology
Having centrally air-conditioned facility with 250 seats in two spacious Reading Halls for reticent reading, the library functions from 9 am to 11 pm with an open access system to maximize the use of library resources. The library is also Institutional member of British Library and is entitled to draw 10 books and 5 back issues of the periodicals. British Library also provides information for studying in Britain and various British Examinations like IELTS, BEC, PLAB, YLE etc.The Central Library is also having Multimedia Section to make use of popular mode of education i.e. Electronic Media, with the following equipment and collections.
| Online network connection has already been given to the library. The library has acquired Engineering Index & Encyclopedia Britannica on CD-ROM.All B.E. and M.E. Students are entitled to draw 3 & 4 books respectively from the main Library for a period of 10 days. Besides B.E. (General Category) students can draw 3 books for one semester from the book bank and SC/ST category students are given 6 books per students for full semester from the SC/ST Book Bank.
