Workshop of Innovative Approach to Materials Research concludes at PEC University of Technology, Chandigarh
A 4 day workshop on Innovative Approach to Materials Research (IAMR 2016) was successfully concluded on 24th December at PEC University of Technology, Chandigarh with Dr. H.K. Sardana, Chief Scientist, CSIO, Chandigarh distributing the certificates and mementos to the delegates and coordinators. The workshop was coordinated by Dr. J.D. Sharma, Assistant Professor, PEC University of Technology, Dr. Prashant Jindal, Assistant Professor, UIET, Panjab University, Chandigarh and Dr. Sachin Tyagi, Scientist, CSIO, Chandigarh under the Design Innovation Centre(DIC) Project. Eminent speakers from all over the region graced this workshop over the past 4 days covering significant areas of material research, 3D printing and innovative designs. Dr. Renu Vig, Project In-Charge DIC & Director UIET inaugurated the workshop while Dr. Rakesh Tuli, Coordinator DIC was the keynote speaker. Celebrated speakers Prof. V.K. Jindal, Panjab University, Chandigarh and Dr. O.P. Pandey, Thapar University covered areas of nanotechnology extensively. Dr. Uma Batra, PEC University of Technology, Dr. Anupama Sharma, SSBUICET, PU, Chandigarh, Dr. Arun Singh, PEC University of Technology and Dr. Gaurav Verma, SSBUICET, PU delivered lectures on bio-nano-composite materials and their characterization techniques. Dr. Akash Katoch, IIT Roorkee and Dr. Manoj Nayak, CSIO, Chandigarh enlightened the delegates on various applications of nanomaterials.
