PECFEST 2017: Day 2

PECFEST 2017 the three day annual cultural and technical fest of PEC University of Technology, moved on with its second day on Saturday. Apart from the various events and competitions that took place on the first day, the participating teams also competed for the trophy of Groovz and Glitterati.                    

Continuing with the same enthusiasm, the events of the second day commenced with the Hero Cycle Race, in which over  cyclists took part.

Over the day, as many as 54 events, comprising of technical as well as cultural competitions, and guest lectures were held starting from 8 am.

Later the colorful event of Sneaker/Tshirt painting was conducted. Following the guest lecture by Mr. Vivek Prakash on 'From college to building HackerEarth' the visitors even got an opportunity to listen to the 'Story of a non IITian' by motivational speaker, Mr. Sankalp Kohli. The technical events included various quizzes, Hackathon finals, Code & Go, which had participation from colleges of the tricity, as well as outstation colleges.

Apart from the assortment of technical competitions, many literary, art and music events like Wordict, Open Mic( by WEC) , graffiti painting; also witnessed a great number of participants. Meanwhile, solo performances by Saksham, Parul and Onam, and bands like Daman and Iztiraar added to the musical tone of the day.

The third and concluding day of the fest promises of a plethora of fun events, and a closure to a pronounced fest.

PECFEST 2018 started with a bang on the 26th of October. The air was full of festive fervour, with the crowd bubbling with excitement.‘The City of Stars’ was lit up, twinkling with the enthusiasm of all the students.

48th Annual Convocation

The institute hosted its 48th Annual Convocation Ceremony on 13th October, 2018. H. E. Sh. V. P Singh Badnore, Governor of Punjab and Administrator of UT Chandigarh, was the Chief Guest for the event.

MOA between PEC and SIEMENS

MOA has been signed to establish a Center of Excellence Chandigarh, 12th October, 2018 to establish a Center of Excellence in the area of Manufacturing Engineering, Control and Automation.
