Dr. Arun Kumar Singh, Assistant Professor at department of Electronics and Communication Engineering of Punjab Engineering College University of Technology, Chandigarh has been awarded India's prestigious Young Scientist International Travel Support Grant by Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, New Delhi. Under this award, he will attend "The 36th Progress In Electromagnetics Research Symposium (PIERS 2015)" in Prague, Czech Republic during 06-09 July, 2015 to present his research work At Prague on energy harvesting from microwave radiations available in our surrounding due to mobile, wi-fi signals etc.
Dr. Arun, has recently completed his doctoral research (PhD) at University of Manchester, Manchester (UK), the birthplace of world's one atom thick, highly conductive, and strongest material called graphene. His research work focuses on the design and development of futuristic electronic devices based on novel materials such as graphene having dimensions in micro and /or nano meters for ultra-fast computing, Terahertz Imaging and Energy Harvesting applications.
