Members of the Faculty, Staff and Students,

Three days tree plantation activity in PEC is starting from 18.09.2009. The activity would formally end on 20.09.2009. The Lions Club Chandigarh Central and Winsome Foundation have also joined us in our drive to green PEC. This activity is also intended to compensate the environmental loss due to removal of 132 dry and dead trees from the college campus which were cut and removed last year after permission of the Chandigarh Administration. During this period PEC plans to plant about 1500 sapling of different varieties. Some of the saplings are being provided by the U.T. Forest Department and the Lions Club Chandigarh Central. You are requested to come and participate in this activity on 20.09.2009 as per program given below. Around 15 to 20 members of the Lions Club Chandigarh Central along with their families are expected to join this activity on 20.09.2009. Shri Chandra Mohan, Chairman BOG has been requested to be the Chief Guest. Prof. Manoj Datta, Director PEC will be the Chief Host on the occasion.

Important notice

            In view of the visit of UGC team to PEC University of Technology on 13th & 14th of August, 2009, Friday 14th of August, 2009 will be a full working day for the entire institute. The time table of Friday will be followed for the classes on 14-08-2009. Monday 17th of August, 2009 will be observed as a holiday in lieu of 14th of August being declared a working day.
            All heads of the departments and Section Incharges are requested not to allow leave to any employee on 13th & 14th of August, 2009 unless there is an extra ordinary situation.
